CMC 37 Posture Tai Chi Form, red book on head - 08/14/09 (Summer) In this video, I am balancing a red book on my head throughout the entire Cheng Manching 37 Posture Tai Chi Form youtube.com youtube.com www.youtube.com ** The point of balancing something on my head while doing the Tai Chi Form is to remind myself to generate smooth movement from one posture to the next; to eliminate all jerky, uncontrolled, spastic motion from my rendition of the Form. That's how the movements of the Tai Chi Form should be performed, especially if one is interested in circulating chi smoothly throughout one's body to improve health. An unfocused mind which darts about in many directions will send chi in many different directions. When muscles are energized in contradictory directions - - spastic, jerky, clumsy, uncontrolled movements are the result. Balancing an object on my head reminds me to move slowly, smoothly, continuously, without breaks or sudden interruptions. Calm mind = calm chi flow ...
