Daily Positive Affirmations - Short Helpful Guide

I love using positive daily affirmations as my morning process. Since I started using them 5 years ago, my experience has shifted totally from a suffering attitude to a positive easy flowing abundant life.

what are affirmations?

An affirmation is a positive suggestion sentence written with the intent of being accepted by the subconscious mind as reality. Once you convince the subconscious that something is true, it must become that way in your reality. The reason that is true has much to do with law of attraction, a term that has gained much popularity these last few years.

Law of attraction:

Law of attraction states that the essence of your thoughts dictates what you experience in your life. A simpler way to understand it is imagining yourself as magnet attracting to your life experience what you focus upon.

If you spend your time worrying or fussing about how bad everything is, you just attract more of the negative stuff again and again.

Positive daily affirmations are a tool you can use every day to help you connect better to your positive aspects, rather than your troubles.

There are many ways you can use positive daily affirmation, from subliminal media, to personal workbooks and visualization techniques. I prefer the later because I enjoy molding my own reality consciously.

How to create and use positive daily affirmations:

- Take a piece of paper and draw a straight line through the middle. On one side write the title "Things that bother me" and on the other side "What I want".

- Sit and take a good long look at your life and ask yourself "What bothers me at this moment" and write down what comes up. Take your time with this process, it is very important.

- Once you have finished writing the areas that bother you, take each sentence and ask yourself "from reading my negative statement, what is it that I actually do want" And write it on the second column. Every time you write your positive sentence, cross the negative one physically and mentally.

- The last step is to change your affirmation into present tense. If you wrote something like "I want a new car", change the sentence into "I have a new car". This is important because what is tomorrow, will always stay tomorrow, you are in the "now" business.

Follow these steps and you should have a nice list of daily positive affirmations you can use.

How to use positive daily affirmations:

Like I wrote above, there are many ways you can apply affirmations. I would suggest experimenting with different systems until you find the right one for you.

The following technique is only one of many I use

1. Choose 3 affirmations from your previously written list.

2. Clear half an hour every day for practice

3. Take your first positive daily affirmation and read it to yourself. Now, try to imagine yourself already living what is written. If it is a new car you want, imagine yourself driving your new car and enjoying the moment. Really give this all you have and try to connect emotionally.

4. After about ten minutes, move on to the next two affirmations.

5. Repeat the process every day for a period of at least 30 days.

If you persist and practice every day, you will start observing many amazing positive changes in your life. Positive daily affirmations can really help you create the dream life you have always wanted.
