70013 aggressive out of Springburn on Sunday 11th April 2010 with the "Great Britain III"

Very lucky shot! I had chosen my spot carefully using Multimap's Birds Eye View, I was at the end of a short cul de sac in a small industrial estate to the east of the station. I had a stepladder to see over the inevitable fence, and it was an OK location if a bit limited. 15 minutes before the due 'off' time, I saw that a Brush 4 had brought in the ecs working from the west side, but no sign of the Brit. I sussed that it was going out from the west side, bundled all the gear into the car and whistled round to the station overbridge. Sure enough there were guys hanging over the parapet and a column of smoke. Too late to choose a replacement spot, what to do? I parked up in a sideroad and swarmed up onto the next overbridge, a dual carriageway, camcorder in one hand and stepladder in the other. Just about saw over the top, lousy view. Ahah, there's a path leading up a grassy bank on the north side of the line, by some houses. I managed to reach the crest of the hill and get up the ladder just about in time....
