ORE 14 dell'11 marzo ALTISSIMA COLONNA DI FUMO NERO www.messinacity.com www.messinacity.com sparata verso l'alto dalla raffineria.Una colonna di fumo nerissimo si é alzata potentemente verso l'alto dal suolo della raffineria, sull'estremo lato sinistro per chi guarda dal molo di partenza degli aliscafi. Alla fine delle alte torri chimiche della raffineria, proprio di fronte al mare della passerella-molo della raffineria, si é visto come un turbine nerissimo, perfettamente cilindrico, salire verticalmente per circa 30-40 metri dal suolo per diventare una nuvola di grandi dimensioni a circa 50-100 metri d'altezza. Il vento sostenuto faceva uscire il fuoco quasi orizzontale dalla torre di bruciatura dei gas di sfogo a pochi metri di distanza. Lo stesso forte vento ha spostato la nube velocemente verso est, verso il paese costiero di Giammoro. La fase più potente dell'emissione della nuvola nera dal suolo è durata circa 30 minuti, poi si sono visti i potenti getti bianchi (acqua?)dei Vigili del Fuoco sullo sfondo nero del fumo. Nell'ultima fase (forse si vede nell'ultimo video) si vedevano che i getti bianchi erano sparati verso l'alto come se si volesse bagnare il denso fumo che saliva veloce verso l'alto. Solitamente in un incendio il getto si spara sulla fiamma per soffocare l'incendio.
