Tips On How To Make An Interesting Online Newsletter

Online newsletters are widely available in the internet. Every business whether it is small or a corporation has an online circulation of newsletter printing. They need this for product promotion strategy and other business awareness.

To achieve your purpose that your customers must read your newsletters, here are some tips for you to achieve that.

Be specific with your purpose. Your newsletter content must attract customers to read every line. Meaning, every sentence must be direct to the point. Do not over-elaborate things so that they will not get bored. Your readers may not be interested about the profit of your company, but would want to know more about how good your products and services are. For instance, if your business is into newsletter printing, they want to know and see your printed products with quality and durability. If you run a boutique, show them that your clothes are unique and make them feel that it is comfortable to wear. If you persuade them in your content, they will look for the name of your store or your contact details for ordering.

Give a brief description on your employee's profile. Most people would ask who did a particular stunning design, or who your writer is, or stuff like that. Better to include some information of your team members with key points about what your employees are doing to strengthen your organization and your customer service.

Add some tips and quizzes column. Short health tips, beauty tips and business tips are appealing to customers. Quizzes also invite customer engagement and response toward your products and services. You can provide the answer to your quizzes at your website after a day or two, depending on you. You can offer some small prizes, discount coupons, and other freebies for customers who answered correctly. This is a good marketing strategy if you want your customers to continue going to your website.

Add some pictures. Good pictures always catch attention. Include one or two photos that are relevant to your campaign, like a mother-and-son picture or beautiful scenery. Do not overcrowd your newsletters with pictures though because it will look like a photo album. Insert text and short sentences for every picture to have add some style.

Make your content brief. Similar to your pictures, your content must be short and brief but have essence. Do not make it really short so as to avoid giving out double meanings. Do not make it too long either as if you are writing a novel. Readers have slow attention span and are bored reading long paragraphs. If you cannot make your content short because you want to elaborate on things, use a bulleted type of content and list them down in the shortest description possible. This way, your content will not be monotonous and is easy to read.

Make your online newsletter a part of your website that you need to update every now and then. Insert links in your newsletter that will take your reader to your site, where they can read even more interesting materials, promos for the month, discount offers, freebies and they have a full view of your products and services lineage.

By having a good newsletter in your website, it can be your key to come closer to your customers which can then serve as a bond that you and your customers will have in the long run. So invest in newsletter printing because it is a silent tool towards a successful business.

Regulated Income Online

Are there instances where it is necessary to regulate the generation of income online? The short answer is in the positive column. Income generation online might benefit from some form of regulation. The touchy point is in regards to the entity that is responsible for implementing the regulation. Clearly it is not desirable that the government authorities are involved in private enterprise. The industry has largely operated on an independent basis and it is desirable that such an arrangement should be allowed to prosper under the various agreements that the protagonists have. The entrance of the state will not be conducive for supporting the entrepreneurial spirit.

If there is no external intervention then the onus is on the relevant parties to make efforts to regulate their business units. In other words the onus is on the entrepreneurs to clean up their industry. This is easier said than done. Cleaning up the industry involves giving up some of the ancient privileges that the merchants are used to. One of the areas where self regulation is difficult is in the area of taxation. People are always looking for ways to reduce their tax bill. In the instances where the government is in control of the industry, this is a mere formality.

The independence of the online industry has meant that the government has to put a renewed focus on the revenue generating activities within the industry. Proper collection requires that the state is involved in all aspects of assessing the revenue potential for the industry. The generation of revenue is just one element of the different concerns that the state may have. In China there are certain products that are not part of the public discourse. For example dissident statements on a blog could cause it to be shut down. These are considerations which the merchant has to think about.

The level of regulation on the internet is very liberal by many standards. The standards set by the state are simply there to ensure that only the most egregious abuses of the system are placed within the courts. Everyone else is free to make the best use of the internet as they see fit. This is what makes the commercial elements very successful. It is also the foundation of many schemes that are geared towards helping people to improve their experiences of the internet. That is the nature of the business and the participants within that business.

Online Learning - Design Tips For Beginners

This short article will provide some practical suggestions for converting existing materials into online learning content and for developing new content.

1. Introduction

The best place to begin with online learning, if you are new to it, is to present course documentation online as a way to support the face-to-face teaching rather than replace it. These resources can be easy to develop and upload to the learning platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard or WebCT. This kind of simple informational content takes very little time and effort to produce.

2. Tips for Designing Online Learning Materials & Courses

i) Consider your learning objectives and outcomes. Breakdown the objectives into a series of learning goals. Break down the learning goals into small steps and tasks. For interactive learning, think of activities that will get the learners doing the tasks. Focus on what will the learners actually being doing.

ii) Identify who the learners are and their main characteristics. (It is worthwhile keeping in mind that for some people online learning may be out of necessity rather than preference.)

iii) Make an outline and build a course framework.

Divide into week-by-week topics
List teaching points under each topic and sub-topic
Structure each topic to answer one question or problem
Present in a logical order
iv) Gather existing materials together. Decide which materials must be delivered face-to-face and which can then be placed online.

v) Chunk the information into small (3 to 5) stand-alone pieces that can be used as building blocks. Keep topics small. Put the topic building blocks in order. (See the site HubPages for tips on how to chunk information and media together.)

vi) Provide a series of flexible materials which support both those learners who like structure and those eclectic learners who just want to explore.

3. Creating Online Documents & Presentations for Online Viewing

Research shows that people scan web pages rather than reading them word- by-word. It is a good idea therefore to prepare simple, informational pages that are very clear and effective. Use a narrow column so that the words are easily scanned.

Here are some tips to create easy-to-read informational materials:

Use bullet lists
Turn prose into tables
Use consistent headings and sub-headings

Highlight key words
One idea per paragraph
Use 40-50% white space
Use light background with dark text
Use a non-serif font (e.g. Arial) with standard font size (10 point)
Keep pages short
Have both the unit title and topic title at the top center of every page
Include page numbers at bottom of page (e.g. page 1 of 7)

4. Finally

There is a lot to learn when designing for online learning; it is different from designing for face-to-face learning. But the above tips should be enough for you to get started in creating good content for online learning.
